Compensation:
- $150,000 to $185,000 annually
Role Overview:
Works closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to scale engineering operations, refine Agile SDLC processes. Also works to ensure smooth, aligned execution across teams and departments. Regularly informs the CTO on key developments. Process friction and misalignments are proactively resolved or escalated with a solution hand. Collaborates with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Business Development to ensure delivery excellence, alignment on business goals, organizational clarity, and consistent visibility into workstreams.There should also be organization-wide transparency, and clear communication, on any work or initiatives happening in the technology department. This position is not a traditional project management role – it is a wide-ranging position that requires influence without authority, operational rigor, and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile SDLC Ownership:
- Collaborate with the CTO to define, improve, and scale Agile SDLC processes
- Facilitate and support SDLC rituals such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives across engineering squads.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the product and engineering lifecycle
- Operational Alignment & Execution:
- Ensure alignment between engineering, product, QA, and cross-functional teams on priorities, deliverables, and dependencies.
- Identify misalignments early and drive resolution before they become blockers.
- Tracks and proposes solutions to technical issues, provides expertise to quickly resolve problems, and implements solutions for program problems as they arise.
- Identifies technical impacts on the company as they relate to business requirements.
- Support engineering managers with feedback loops, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
- Participates in executive meetings and shares program and project progress and information with management executives and other professionals in the company.
- Reviews and tests codes and designs to ensure that program goals are being met.
- Reporting & Escalation:
- Act as the CTO’s ‘eyes and ears’ across active projects and team health
- Surface project delays, scope changes, key risks, bugs, or miscommunications with actionable context
- Create dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide clarity on team performance, progress, and KPIs
- Strategic Initiatives:
- Lead special initiatives such as generating and reporting important performance metrics across the development team, improving documentation, cross departmental initiatives, technical onboarding playbooks, and tooling improvements
- Drive adoption of team rituals, documentation standards, and communication practices that reinforce a high-functioning, and highly accountable, culture
- People & Culture Enablement:
- Cultivate trust across the organization to identify friction points and improvement areas
- Use emotional intelligence and facilitation skills to influence outcomes without formal authority
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering operations, or Agile delivery roles within a software organization
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and modern SDLC practices
- Strong cross-functional communication and facilitation skills
- Proven ability to manage without authority, influence leaders, and drive execution in complex environments
- Familiarity with tooling and reporting, required for metrics, for Azure Dev Ops, SharePoint, Git, and CI/CD tooling/workflows
Other Qualifications:
- Successfully pass background check for cybersecurity access requirements.
Cybersecurity Role Expectations:
- Candidate will be responsible for reviewing policies and procedures related to cybersecurity and those relevant to the functions of their role.
- Candidate is expected to maintain a cybersecure work environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to make and receive audio and video conference calls.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
- Must be able to use hands to type, handle products, parts objects, and tools and to navigate computer keyboard and machine controls.
