Compensation:
  • $106,878 - 132,206 based on number of years of experience

Role Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and technically sharp Jr. Full Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team in the utilities and energy sector. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, data-driven applications that power critical infrastructure solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, operations, and client-facing groups to deliver AI-enhanced software that makes a real impact on how energy is monitored, managed, and optimized.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently write, test, and deploy clean, maintainable code across both front-end and back-end systems 
  • Design and consume RESTful APIs that support real-time data exchange between utility systems and end-user applications 
  • Integrate AI and machine learning models into existing and new application workflows 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full application stack with minimal supervision 
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an agile development team 
  • Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Adapt quickly to evolving project requirements and emerging technologies in the energy/utilities space 
  • Collaborate with R&D and operations teams to prototype, test, and iterate on new features 
Required Qualifications:
  • Successfully pass background check for cybersecurity site access. 
  • 2–5 years of professional Full Stack Development experience with a proven track record of delivering production-ready applications 
  • 1+ years of experience in or alongside an R&D environment, with the ability to translate research concepts into functional software 
  • 2+ years of hands-on proficiency in Python, .Net Core,  Go, React, and XJS
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/ML technologies, including model development, LLMs/generative AI, or AI-powered analytics 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with predictive monitoring systems, condition-based monitoring, or real-time alerting platforms — particularly in utility or energy contexts 
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field 
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorchLangChain, or similar 
  • Experience with SCADA systems, DERMS, or other utility-specific platforms 
  • Experience with cloud-based AI/ML services (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI) 
  • Understanding of data pipelines or time-series data management 
Other Qualifications:
  • Successfully pass background check for cybersecurity access requirements.
Cybersecurity Role Expectations:
  • Candidate will be responsible for reviewing policies and procedures related to cybersecurity and those relevant to the functions of their role.
  • Candidate is expected to maintain a cybersecure work environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use hands to type, handle products, tools and navigate a computer keyboard.
  • Must be able to view computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
